Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a widespread public health problem, which may have several adverse consequences such as renal failure, cardiovascular disease, and premature death. Kidney-related pathologies increasing prevalence rates, produce considerable financial burden, are characterized by elevated levels of oxidative stress (OS). Several markers emerged well-suited indicators OS malondialdehyde (MDA) lipid hydroperoxides. The reduced activities antioxidant enzymes status increased production MDA in the CKD patients confirm presence OS. alteration supports role patient. Aims Objectives: aim study was to compare serum different stages with that control. It well known inflammation has an important oxidant biomarker. Materials Methods: This cross-sectional having 400 participants 300 cases 100 healthy controls. Serum were measured thiobarbituric acid assay. Results: There significant difference between groups regarding values (P<0.001) mean value Stage III (5.64±1.93 Umol/L), IV (6.14±1.584 V (10.761±3.347 U moL/L) high comparison control (1.88±0.181 mol/L). Conclusion: We concluded useful biomarker patients. correlations among significant. Larger studies focused on severity antioxidant/oxidant biomarkers required.
